Whose India

  • 'INDIA'- Whenever I utter these five letters the first thing which comes to my mind is our tricolour flag which is the symbol of peace, integrity, youthfulness, harmony and above all unity. Thus to describe INDIA in one sentence, we often say "Unity in Diversity". But are we really united?.........ofcourse we are united, united by our self centredness & selfishness but not united spiritually.
  • Today there is not only religious, caste and creed barrier but also language and state barriers. And thanks to our politicians their microscopic existence has now become macroscopic problems. For their vote banks these politicians are adopting nasty techniques to hit back each other and the irony of fate is that common man are being victimised. We have lost our sense of judgements, whatever these so called noble people who have devoted themselves for the sake of our nation are teaching us we are gulping it down.
  • Why are we proudly glorifying our state and religion and caste; why cant we have pride in calling ourselves Indians!!!! Now we are all in a competetion to establish our individual culture, heritage, religion and so many things but we are not even bothered leaving apart our concerns, for our national heritage and culture. Why we forget that on international platform we represent INDIA,our motherland and not any individual state and religion. In this race of racial supremacy, we are losing our own original identity and if this phenomena continues then the day is not far when we have to look for the answer ''WHOSE INDIA''????

Hm... true enough...

But is selfishness really an Indian concept? That is one emotion that is ingrained into our very DNA... if you are not selfish, you will not survive! You need food and shelter for yourself; only then can you think of someone else.

It is only since the beginning of 'civilization' that we have started to learn to put others before ourselves - but we're far from perfect, aren't we?

Same with the politicians: they are looking after themselves first, and if that means aggravating a silly situation, then so be it!!

Nice post though... tui ki er aage kokhono likhechish?
